The Bureau manages many items including the public activity log, policy manual, media releases, current fee schedule, records requests, and subpoenas.

Police Reports

Police reports may only be released to authorized parties according to State law. There are reports involving certain types of crimes that cannot be released to anyone except to the district attorneys or law enforcement agencies. If you feel you are entitled to a copy of a police report, you will need to complete a Report Request Release Form (available below). If a juvenile (under the age of 18) is involved, an additional or different application form may also be required along with the juvenile's birth certificate. You or your insurance representative/attorney may also request a copy of the report for a fee. Please contact the Dispatch Unit at (805) 461-5051 for more information.

A Report Requet Release Form can be completed online by clicking the button below, or printed and submited to the Atascadero Police Department at 5505 El Camino Real.
